He led her onto his sunning rock, where Brass-coat could see further than she ever had before. The Pampean Pride -Part 1Copper fur flashed in the dusty clearing. Sabre glinted and eyes glowed like verdigris. Three large, muscular lion-like cats fought to bring down a large Macrauchenia, a tall, long-limbed creature with a short trunk-like nose. One of the cats, a young female with a brassy coat, made a lunge at it's neck, her long sabre teeth ready. The Macrauchenia squealed and pulled away before the teeth could touch it's rough coat. Brass-coat landed on her stomach with a thud. 'Oof, this long-nose is getting on my nerves!' she meowed angrily, clambering to a stand. All around her and the Pampean grasslands lay her pride, watching the three youngsters in thThe Pampean Pride -Part 1
